This blog has been starving for content, so let’s make do with a nice easy post! I haven’t seen too much this season (spending all my anime time rewatching Detective Conan!), but figured I’d jot down a few thoughts anyway.
I procrastinated a little bit on writing another post and now, woops. There are just so many anime out there and woops I like most of them.
Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention these past couple of seasons, but it would appear that our good friend Moe did not take kindly to being forgotten and struck back with a vengeance this season. That is why in this post, I’ll only talk about a few excellent cute episodes that have aired this season.
I was initially planning on making another multi-anime Impressions post, but then realized, I had a fair bit to say about the first episode of Re Zero, so here we are.
Note: There are a fair few twists in the first episode of Re Zero, so if you haven’t watched it yet (both parts, mind you, it is a 40 minute episode), then don’t read this post.
I normally take to twitter to vent my excitation, but since I’m on twitter leave, you’ll excuse me if I do so here.
FUCKING YES. THIS EPISODE WAS AWESOME.
Hello. I am 24 days late, but Happy New Year, everyone. I hope, this year too, you put up with my tardiness and lame posts.
Yeah, I have been gone for a while and there are a bunch of reasons what that is the case. I will, hopefully, at some point finish up those 12 Day posts as well as catch up on the Weekly Shonens, but to ease my way back in, I am gonna type a quick impressions post for this season.
Despite the amazing reviews it was receiving, I put of watching Shimoneta until last night. I think more so than its lewd nature (everyone knows I like lewd things), it was the setting that put me off.
I dislike the idea of over-controlling, heavily censored dystopian societies so much, that even a fictional depiction is hard for me to consider watching.
But, well, almost everyone seems to like this, so I forced myself to man up a little and give it a shot. As expected, I ended up loving it. I love this show so much, it is now a solid contender for anime of the season along with Gatchaman Crowds (I need to watch episode 3 though…) and Prison School.
2 days ago, I caught up to OverLord and today I caught up to another anime that had totally slipped under my radar: Joukamachi no Dandelion (Castle Town Dandelion). I haven’t been active on twitter as of late, so I guess anything that isn’t on Crunchy is pretty much going unnoticed by yours truly (Funimation is killing anime, etc, etc…).
Anyway, the 4 episodes of Castle Town Dandelion that are out have been surprisingly enjoyable.
I apologize for not posting anything for over a month. My so called vacation ended over 20 days ago, but I have been too lazy/unmotivated to do anything useful with my life, so I haven’t posted anything either. Anyway, that is a story for another time.
I haven’t kept up too well with this season, but night before last, I ran through OverLord episodes 1-3 and loved it. This is totally my kind of light novel trash.
Since, I am likely not going to get around to writing individual posts for the stuff I am watching this season, I figured I’d make one big aggregated post with a few short lines on most of the anime I have touched this season.
