Volcanic Age is excellent

In continuing the theme of one rushed post at the end of the month quickly talking about a webcomic I really like, I really like Volcanic Age. In fact I am surprised I forgot to do a post on it until now.

Volcanic Age is one of those reincarnation comics that start with someone dying but reincarnating as their past self. Basically they are given a second chance at life to either fix their wrong doings or help mitigate disaster/chaos/war. I feel like out of the current popular batch of manga/webcomics, Volcanic Age was one of the earlier ones or at least more popular ones to try out this story setup and it is still damn good at it.

Tower of God is a remarkable achievement

This post is probably many years coming. In fact I wrote a small blurb talking about Tower of God in this Halloween post 6 (oh god time is bad) years ago. In fact, while I don’t recall the exact date that’s probably when I ‘temporarily’ stopped reading Tower of God. You know how it is, you forget to read a new chapter and then they just pile up…for years.

I recently read up and caught up to the nearest chapter (in like 2 days 2 or 3 weeks ago….).

Immortal Invincible is a fun manhwa

For the first time since I made this blog (2010) I forgot to make a post, breaking my 1 post every month chain in August. It broke my heart. And now I am getting late for September lol. Oh well.

Anyway I recently caught up Immortal Invincible which is a pretty fun martial art manhwa.

Some thoughts on reacting to the Kyoto Animation Tragedy

By now, everyone has heard of the terrible fire at KyoAni office. This isn’t a news post or anything, just some thoughts of mine, so by all means skip this post if you really don’t want to think about the tragic loss of life at one of our favorite anime studios.

Quick Manga Recommendation: The Scholar’s Reincarnation

Oops, it is the last day of the month and once more I was too lazy to make a monthly post until literally right before the end, so here have a manga recommendation for another fun manga I enjoy a lot.

Some thoughts on Space Battleship Yamato

After marathoning most of it in a week or two, I recently finished the second season of Space Battleship Yamato (Yamato 2202) with friends and man it was a lot. This post isn’t very cohesive, but I wanted to note down some thoughts because again, man it was a lot.

Unspecific plot spoilers follow, but I will try to avoid any big spoilers. Really you should just go watch Yamato, what a good show.

I love Solo Leveling

Ooops, left the monthly post till the last hour again.

I have been a fan of Korean web comics for a long time, and my current fixation is Solo Leveling written by Gee So-Lyung and drawn by Akira Rei and REDICE.

Some thoughts on the incredible Quintessential Quintuplets manga

Hi, so after finishing the Quintuplets(5Toubun no Hanayome) anime on Thursday, I decided to read through the manga and phew oh boy, I have thoughts.

Don’t read this post if you haven’t read up to and including chapter 79.

(Oh and this manga has that habit of pulling what the fucks out of thin air, so apologies if a future chapter completely invalidates this entire post.)

Legend: A fun isekai with problematic murder

Legend is a Light Novel about some dude who died and was reincarnated into a powerful body with access to long forgotten magic. He then goes on an adventure to well discover what he can do/learn and well do standard adventure stuff. You know how it goes.

Note: I have only read the manga and I am only going to talk about that here.
