An aniblogger of some sort.

Recently me and my cousin watched the entirety of Log Horizon (we finished the 2nd season in like two days….). This was the second time I’ve seen this show and while I still liked it I came away a little grated at a few things, so I figured I’d jot down some thoughts.
Note: I watched it in a rush with family so I didn’t take any screenshots. I apologize for the lack of contextually useful ones. My posts on Log Horizon feel dated now, but if you are curious, you can find some here.
Note 2: This is very much a rant and I am sure a show with this much ambition doesn’t really deserve it, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

[If you are not up to date with Gamers, watch the 2nd episode before reading this post. Trust me, that 2nd episode is really good and significantly better than the 1st.]
The anime season was well under way when I returned from my cross country trip. Not knowing much about any of the anime that have aired, I figured I’d do the thing I do every season and watch some. I started with Fox Spirit Matchmaker, and for all its faults, it charmed me enough that I watched all four episodes.
I wanted something light and easily digestible, so I watched Knights and Magic (my friends said it was good wish fulfillment stuff and I love those stories). I opened Tsurezure Children next. I absolutely love the manga and the anime most certainly did not disappoint.
Then I rolled myself around to Gamers. The title ‘Gamers’ sounded garbage enough that I figured it would make good fluff entertainment.

Nobuyuki Hiyama is a well respected, long time voice acting veteran. Off the top of my head, my favorite role of his is the Director of Shirobako, but he has a ton of anime and video game roles.
I was only able to attend the Q&A session held on Sunday (May 28, 2017). I jotted down some of the questions and answers but pretty scrappily (it is hard) so forgive me for paraphrasing a lot and for any missing/incorrect info. The answers written here are also much shorter than his nice long replies. Anyway, I hope you find his responses interesting (I liked him a lot!).

I am sure folk have plenty of things to say about Eromanga Sensei. Some folk don’t like the fanservice, others don’t like the imouto romance and so on. This post is probably closer to the latter complaint. I don’t especially mind the imouto love story per say but the fact THAT THERE IS A MUCH BETTER RELATIONSHIP AND IT IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS IS WHAT UPSETS ME.
I am of course talking about Elf Yamada.
Jeebus, spring already. Well, I’ve sampled a fair bit of anime already, so I shall indulge myself and write a sentence or two.
Hello, I figured I should make a blog post, so here is another talking about my current takes on stuff I’m watching this season. I have only finished a small number of shows thus far, but this is practically a final impressions post at this point.
In unrelated news, I’ve been watching Gundam 00! You can see my progress here if you are interested.

If you follow me on twitter, you may have noted that I have a rather positive outlook on anime. My tweets about anime are mostly devoid of negative opinions and a significant portion of them are gut reactions to the tune of ‘kyaa’, ‘OMG’, ‘AMAZING’, and ‘I am dead’. Perhaps more importantly, I seem to enjoy most things I try. As an example, this season not only am I enjoying blockbusters like ACCA & Maidragon but also some low key, seemingly less popular stuff like Spiritpact and ēlDLIVE.
I wanted to take this chance to talk about how I arrived at this form of engagement because while the end result appears to be a simple, blissful buffoon, the process to get here was anything but trivial.
Note: This is a very selfish me oriented post, but is hopefully fluffy enough that no one will be rattled by it.
Happy New Year everyone! What do you mean it’s been a month already. It is not 12 PM yet! Okay, I’ve been bad about this blog this month and this post too isn’t very thorough. Still, I wanted something out this month!
Anyway, this is just a quick list of the few (surprisingly many this time) shows I’ve watched and some thoughts.

I did nothing for this blog this month (or the months before), but I’ll quickly jot down now the very few anime I saw this year with a sentence or two on my thoughts.

For some reason, Yahari Bento!! was very kind in nominating me for one of these blog award things. I don’t really read any anime blogs anymore (my fault not the community’s, I swear), but Yahari’s Christmas post is festive!
I’m not too familiar with the anime blogging community anymore, so I am going to refrain from nominating more folk, but I’ll address the 3 questions put forth and figured that since two of them were about movie watching, I’d talk a bit about that too.
